Elkem

A highlight will be the presentation of a joint development with Unimatec Europe for the application of Sidistar in ACM to improve the processibility of the rubber compounds while maintaining the physical properties. These compounds based on the Noxtite high temperature ACM of Unimatec are most suitable for demanding automotive applications. A poster will summarise the results of this project ("High Temperature ACM and Low Surface Silica, an Ideal Solution for Demanding Applications”, G. Schmaucks, K. Zoumis). Elkem will inform DKT visitors also about how to improve flame retardancy of both halogen free and halogen containing compounds. The addition of Sidistar additives to enable the reduction of antimony content in halogenated compounds at equal flame retardancy performance will also be presented. The Norwegian company based in Kristiansand has approx. 2,400 employees and is wholly-owned by China International Bluestar. It jointly exhibits with Velox.
