ELASTO showcase latest developments in TPE at K2010

Dryflex TPE
‘Made to measure TPE solutions that help our customers be more successful’ this is the message ELASTO will be delivering at K2010.

ELASTO will be showcasing the array of properties and design possibilities their range of TPEs has to offer. With a hands-on, interactive display visitors to Hall 8a stand H18 will be able to experience the flexibility, elasticity, adhesion, grip and even swellability of their Dryflex and Mediprene range of compounds based on SBS, SEBS, TPO and TPV technologies.

Dryflex TPE compounds are available in hardness’s ranging from zero shore A to 65 shore D, they offer transparency, wide service temperature range, good compression set abrasion and tear resistance, high-flow rates and adhesion to engineering thermoplastics including PP, PE, PA, ABS, PC, PS, PMMA, ASA, SAN and their blends. ELASTO will showcase several applications from the automotive, consumer, construction and sports markets where their compounds have simplified production for their customers and added-value with soft-touch appeal. Recent developments include an expansion to their Dryflex range of flame-retardant materials which are halogen, chlorine and antimony free, low smoke and are compliant with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directives.

ELASTO will also be presenting the advances in their Mediprene range of TPE Compounds for medical device applications including grades that do not contain any paraffinic oil which minimize the risk of leaching and extractables. Mediprene compounds are sterilizable with gamma, EtO and steam and representative grades have passed cytotoxicity tests according to ISO 10993-5 and biocompatibility tests according to USP Class VI. Mediprene TPEs have also proven to be strong alternatives as replacement for PVC; they are completely synthetic and latex free thereby minimizing allergy risks.
