DuPont launches amine-free antistat for film at NPE2012


DuPont has created a new amine-free antistat for BOPP (bi-axially oriented polypropylene) and PP (polypropylene) film for the food packaging industry.

The new biobased product is featured at NPE2012, along with other biobased additives resulting from the recent acquisition of Danisco.

Mick Potenza, DuPont nutrition and health polymer additives account manager, told PlasticsToday at booth (#35013) that brand owners are always looking for ways to improve all aspects of product safety, and there is a limit in the amount of chemicals that can be used in direct contact with food.
