Just weeks after announcing its first sales into Latin America for its plastics recyclate-based rail ties, Axion Intl. now has announced it will be working with Coll Materials to take advantage of that company's capacity at its facility in Waco, TX. Coll, a post-industrial and post-consumer plastics recycling company, will handle some contract manufacturing for Axion. The Waco site is a new one for Coll and is to be up-and-running by year's end.
In related news, Coll late last month announced it would start a new plastics recycling facility in Lehigh County, PA, where it planned to invest about $4 million and eventually hire 75. The company late last year acquired Nicos Polymers and its recycling facility in Nazareth, PA, but that burned down early this month. Coll is headquartered in Zanesville, Ohio....
