CHINAPLAS 2011 – Asia's No. 1 Plastics & Rubber Trade Fair Returns to Guangzhou Supports Global Corporate to Grasp the Booming Business Opportunities

CHINAPLAS 2011, the 25th International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber Industries, will return to Guangzhou, PR China and will take place at the Asia's largest exhibition centre, China Import & Export Fair Pazhou Complex from 17-20 May 2011.

Professional Event Marching Towards Jubilee Anniversary with Shining Record
CHINAPLAS was first held in 1983 and has achieved 24 editions of shining record. Going forward to the Jubilee anniversary, CHINAPLAS will continue to work hand in hand with the plastics and rubber industries to provide innovative solutions of machineries and raw materials; and also serve as the growth engine for different user industries. As always, CHINAPLAS is exclusively sponsored by Europe's Association for Plastics and Rubber Machinery Manufacturers (EUROMAP) in China, and is the only event approved by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) for the plastics and rubber industries in China

China is the Big Cheese for Plastics and Rubber Industries
In 2010, global economy is not yet recovered from the international financial crisis, and all enterprises are seeking business opportunities in emerging markets. Furthermore among these markets, China's economy continued to rebound. China GDP growth is expected to reach 10% in 2010, and is the fastest among BRICs. During the Chinese Central Government Economic Conference held in December 2009 in Beijing, it is stated that investment focus of light industry technology advancement in 2009 to 2011 would be to support the industry automation, including the aspects of closed-loop servo driven, dynamic mould processing, induction heater, stretch blow moulding and multi-layer extrusion technologies, etc. It fosters the development of plastics machinery industry to the next chapter.

In terms of production volume, China is the world's no.1 manufacturer of plastics processing machinery and the second largest producer of synthetic resin. Its demand for plastics machinery is growing at an average annual rate of 6%. In 2009, the total output of China's plastic products exceeded 44 million tons, with a total output value of RMB 1 trillion. The total output value of China's rubber product industry also topped RMB 430 billion. Due to the rapid development and the widespread use of plastics and rubber in different industries in recent years, China has become one of the largest consumers of plastic and rubber products. With RMB 4 trillion stimulus package launched by the Chinese government last year, industry experts expected China's domestic demand will keep on booming in 2010. With rapid increases of plastics and rubber application in household electrical appliances, automobiles and infrastructure facilities, plastic product output in China is expected to maintain a stable growth in 2011.

Guangdong Province – Massive Industry Upgrade for Manufacturers of Diversified Plastics Products in Southern China
Riding on the unprecedented success of CHINAPLAS 2010 in Shanghai, CHINAPLAS 2011 will be held again in Guangzhou, the capital city of the Guangdong Province. The Pearl River Delta of Guangdong is a key region of light industrial production. Among China's top 10 major plastic products in 2009, Guangdong's output ranked first in five of these 10 categories, including daily plastic products, plastic tubes, plate / sheet products, packaging, and other kinds of plastic products. Large-scale plastic product enterprises accounted for 21% of the national total. Moreover, Guangdong recorded more than 10 million tons in the total output of plastic products in 2009, it is the first province ever to achieve the 10-million output threshold. At the same time, taking advantage of the newly opened Wuhan-Guangzhou High-speed Rail, Guangdong stands to gain much from the faster transportation to other provinces and cities and will further stimulate its economic development.

Ms Ada Leung, Assistant General Manager of the organizer Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd said, "CHINAPLAS is not only Asia's ideal platform for industry players to showcase their machineries and raw materials, but also the perfect channel for European, American, Japanese, Korean companies to promote their cutting edge machines and advanced raw materials to China market. In the coming edition, the organizer will inject more innovative elements into the show to follow through our slogan as "The Growth Engine for Your Industry" – to bring plastics and rubber into every industry and empower the industry upgrade."

She said, "We received 30% over-booking in the last CHINAPLAS, so the organizer plans to reserve no fewer than 17 exhibition halls at Zone A and B in China Import & Export Fair Pazhou Complex, to offer more spacious exhibition area for exhibitors. Moreover, as more varieties and specifications of plastics and rubber machineries emerge, the organizer considers launching new product theme zone to facilitate buyers" sourcing from over 2,000 exhibitors."

The coming edition of CHINAPLAS will break the record of show scale to 150,000 sqm. It is expected to have more than 2,200 international exhibitors from 35 countries/regions. Together with 10 countries/regional pavilions from Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, UK, USA, PR China and Taiwan, the suppliers will showcase wide array of raw materials and advanced machineries. 9 theme zones are set up to facilitate successful sourcing of buyers, including Injection Molding Machinery zone, Extrusion Machinery zone, Plastic Packaging & Blow Molding Machinery zone, Auxiliary & Testing Equipment zone, Die & Mould zone, Other Processing Machinery zone, Chemicals & Raw Materials zone, Semi-finished Products zone and Chinese Export Machinery & Materials hall.
