Bayer MaterialScience and Jiangsu Top Composite Technology jointly develop eco-friendly window

[image_0] The GRPU energy-saving window adopts pultruded frame profile, composed of glass fiber as the reinforcement and a polyurethane resin from Bayer MaterialScience as the base, and produced through advanced processes of injection, gumming and pultrusion. The low thermal transmission coefficient is only 1/700 of aluminum alloy, making it a very good insulation material, especially under the condition of huge temperature fluctuations, as well as in cold or hot areas. The linear coefficient of thermal expansion of GRPU is similar to that of the wall, therefore, when temperature changes, tightness is maintained without any gap between GRPU frames and the wall. It's also light and strong, with a bending strength 2 - 3 times of that of aluminum alloys and 10 times of PVC, and a bending modulus is 2 - 4 times of regular FRP, eliminating the need of steel liner reinforcement, thus reducing assembly steps and inherently achieving a good insulation. The pultrusion process uses a special PU resin from BMS, which contains no VOCs. According to the companies, compared with aluminum designs of the same category, GRPU frames can cut energy consumption by a half for each pound of raw material needed.
