At 70%, a little less than a third of respondents to the British Plastic Federation's (BPF, London / UK; www.bpf.co.uk) "January Business Conditions Survey believe UK sales turnover will increase in 2010, reflecting a growing confidence that this year will see the first signs of an economic turnaround.
The survey showed that 56% of companies expect staff levels to remain the same in 2010. About one in three (31%) even plan to hire more staff this year. Nevertheless, all is not well yet. Credit insurance continues to pose a problem to 56% of respondents to BPF's survey - although the numbers have improved over BPF's June 2009 survey, when 70% of respondents still reported credit insurance problems.
