Plastics trade group Industrievereinigung Kunststoffverpackungen (IK; Bad Homburg, Germany) recently participated in a survey carried out by Ri*QUESTA target-group research on the image of packaging made from airpop/EPS (also known as polystyrene). The results returned back favorable for the packaging material.
The last time the survey was conducted was in 2013 and since then the image of packaging made from airpop has improved by 11%. According to the survey, 54% of the population now view airpop packaging in a favorable light. The focus was on packaging for household equipment and consumer electronics. In the important group of decision-makers, there was an increase of 20%.
