International technology Group ANDRITZ has developed a new, high-performance film winder in modular design that can be adapted individually to different customer requirements. The ANDRITZ Biax winder – with design, manufacture, pre-assembly, and automation solutions all 100% from Austria – offers new drive technology on the winding core and meets highest requirements in terms of ergonomic design. Innovative safety devices and wide access doors allow safe and easy maintenance. The special contact roll set-up ensures high winding quality, even at high speeds of up to 600 m/min for winding widths from 8.7 m.

The moving winder is currently unique for this film width on the market for production of biaxially stretched plastic films and offers the advantages of constant roll configuration and vibration-free movement. The new winder design features high-quality film winding and stable running at high speeds without telescoping. The new winder can be viewed at the ANDRITZ manufacturing location in Graz, Austria – further information available from Johannes Winkler, ANDRITZ Biax, Phone +43 50805 69 215, johannes.winkler@andritz.com.
