A. Schulman expands range of Polybatch antibacterial and antimicrobial masterbatches

The company's Polybatch ABACT antibacterial masterbatches inhibit the growth of microorganisms that can cause odours, discolouration, the formation of mildew, or deterioration in the physical properties of plastics. Its Polybatch AMIC antimicrobial masterbatches protect against bacteria and fungus. The company utilises silver ion technologies in its antibacterial and antimicrobial masterbatches.A. Schulman provides global support for these products in the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific regions, where it works with processors and product manufacturers on application development; product selection, testing and validation; manufacturability; and regulatory support. Because of its expanded range of products and abilities in custom compounding, the company is able to serve a wide variety of markets, including food and flexible packaging, household appliances and other durable goods, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, and building materials.
