2010 growth flows into 2011 for Conair

Coming off a year with 25% growth, The Conair Group Inc. is seeking to maintain momentum with new staff, products, trade shows, and plants. Larry Doyle, VP global sales and marketing for the Cranberry Township, PA-based manufacturer of robotics and plastics auxiliaries equipment told PlasticsToday that starting in June of 2010, business grew quite strong for Conair, prompting a number of moves last year that have continued into 2011. "Business is good right now," Doyle said. "The activity we saw in December has continued. I think we saw, pretty much the second half of 2010, be relatively strong."

To support that growth, the company announced a new hire. Long-time water specialist Mike Mueller officially started with Conair on Jan. 24, heading up Conair's heat-transfer sales. In 2010, Conair added Peter Armbruster, formerly a regional VP sales for Novatec, to manage Conair activities in the Midwestern and Northeastern U.S., as well as Canada. Conair also brought on John Heinrikson to oversee sales in the North/Central and Southeastern, with William Oscar, also leaving Novatec, to handle Conair territories in the South/Central and Western U.S. In addition to those moves, the company named Premier Equipment Sales (Columbus, IN) as its representative in Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, and Kentucky....
